"Go Red" - Health SeminarFebruary 29, 2020
UIO partners with UMMC in co-hosting a "Go Red" health education seminar as part of the Risks Underlying Rural Areas Longitudinal (RURAL) Study being conducted in Panola County which seeks to identify risk factors that could contribute to heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders in rural communities. Dr. Tammy Taylor, a member of UIO, was a speaker of at this event. |

In observance of PINK goes RED, UIO’s Women’s Health and Wellness Committee held a Cardio Workout Session at the Boys and Girls Club in Oxford, MS led by Lawrence Muruako, Owner of Rebel Body Fitness. In addition to the Pink Goes Red event, members of UIO also wore Red throughout the day in support of heart health! |

MLK Day of ServiceJanuary 20, 2020
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?" - MLK Today, UIO divided and conquered service in Panola and Lafayette Counties by participating in the MLK walk in both counties. Non-perishable food, cold weather items, and new and gently work shoes and eyeglasses were collected to help the needy of Panola County and to support the sorority's global impact initiative. |
